This cyanotype transforms the humble egg, into a complex, almost celestial structure through the power of UV light. The textures of the egg white create organic, topographical rings that contrast with the dense, glowing center of the yolk.

By using one of oldest photographic printing processes, this camera-less photograph (photogram) is created by exposing a raw egg directly onto light-sensitive coated paper, then exposed and immortalised by the sun. The deep, rich Prussian blues frame the subject in a way that feels both vintage and modern.

Each cyanotype is dependent on the intensity of the sun at the moment of exposure, making this work is a recording of a specific unique moment in time and light.
